Hilton Card Free Night Certificate Offer Through July
I normally avoid recommending Hilton cards, because Hilton points don’t go as far as, say, Hyatt points. That said, on rare occasions like right now, they offer Free Night Certificate bonuses on their no/low fee cards, which ends up as an amazing value because these certificates can be used at any Hilton hotel that has award availability - Waldorf Astorias, Conrads, etc. which might normally cost you well over the points you can get from 1-2 Hilton cards.
Normally, you can only get a Free Night Certificate with the Hilton Aspire, which costs $450/year. This is actually a great value, as it comes with numerous credits that more than offset the fee as well as top-tier Hilton Diamond status, but the annual fee may still put people off. Until mid-July (7/19/23), though, you can get points + a FNC with their no-fee card, $95/year fee Surpass, or $95/year fee Business card.
Furthermore, you can get 2 of these cards and end up with two certificates - a great bonus for a weekend. If you are interested in Chase cards (highly recommended) then I would recommend one personal and one business Hilton Amex, but you are of course welcome to get two personal Hilton Amexes (No fee + Surpass) if you’d like. You're allowed to get 2 Amex credit cards every 90 days, so grabbing 2 is pretty easy.
For those concerned about the $95 annual fee for the Surpass, you can downgrade after 13 months to the no-fee Hilton Amex and avoid a second annual fee, but it's recommended that you get the no-fee bonus before downgrading, as you won't be able to get that bonus after downgrading.
